Group Session
This course is for the bird enthusiast who wants to learn the details about Falconry. During this group session you will have the opportunity to learn the correct method to pick up a bird, handle and experience receiving a bird onto the hand. We will show you how to train a Bird of Prey, from weight management to flying. A tour of the centre will also be included. This experience last approximately 4 hours.. Price- £100 per person. Suitable for over 12’s only. Children between 12-17 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Private One to One
An unforgettable day for birds of prey enthusiasts and nature lovers! You will be given the opportunity to spend the day with some of the most stunning birds and the people who look after them, learning about the history of falconry as well as the practice of this ancient royal sport. Then you’ll hear a fascinating talk from an experienced falconer about falconry and the birds that you’ll be flying during the day – gaining an understanding of how to look after, manage and fly these magnificent birds.
After a Hot Roast Sandwich, provided by our Greenhouse Restaurant team, you’ll head out into the grounds and watch a falconer swing the lure to simulate the aerial battle between a hawk and its prey, before heading into
the gardens with another Hawk, Owl or Falcon. This session lasts around four hours ,including lunch and priced at £120.00 per person. Children over 12 years only with the option of a child and parent package available for £180.00.

Group Session
This is an opportunity for visitors to meet, hold and learn about a range of Hawks, Owls and Falcons. Our main aim of the session to promote conservation of each species as well as entertain and educate with facts on the bird, its personality and personal stories from the falconer.

In our owl encounters paying visitors will meet, hold and learn about our native and non-native Owls. Our main aim of the session is to promote conservation of each species as well as entertain with facts on the bird, its personality and personal stories from the falconer. This is an ideal treat for anyone who loves owls and is designed for children or adults alike. Please note this is a group session.

Group Session
Get up close to the king of the sky and meet our Golden Eagle, you can feel the power and be amazed at the size of the counties most powerful predator, learn all about their hunting capabilities and the traditions from around the globe surrounding the Golden Eagle such as the Mongolian Eagle Hunters. In with this session we will build you up to the Golden Eagle by introducing you initially to in some of our bigger Hawks. Due to the size and power of the Eagle we have minimum age limit of 12-year-old.

Private One to One Session
In this private one-hour session we will take a relaxing stroll into the stunning gardens of Lanchester Garden Centre to fly one of our beautiful Owls to and from your glove in a natural environment, the ultimate stress buster.

This session is ideal for all levels of photographer, head out into the beautiful gardens of Lanchester to capture portraits and flight shots of a wide range of Hawks, Owls and Falcons (Golden Eagle can be added for extra fee) all in a natural environment.

Group Session
This is an indoor photography session for small groups. Using natural props we gather to capture mesmerising photographs of a wide range of reptiles, invertebrates and amphibians with the natural striking colours on show to capture them in all their splendour.

Terms & Conditions & Booking Form
BOOKINGS
Bookings can be made bellow. Full payment will be required at the time of booking. Once an experience voucher has been purchased you will be expected to contact us to arrange a date for your chosen activity which must be booked in advance. Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. At certain times of the year (summer holidays, Christmas and Easter) demand is particularly high, so to avoid disappointment, we advise you to give us as much notice of your preferred dates as possible.Vouchers are non refundable, but if someone has not been able to use a voucher before expiry due to weather or health reasons we will extend the voucher by six weeks to allow the session to be re booked.
GROUP SESSIONS
Unless you choose to book a private one to one session, some experiences often involve groups of people from other bookings. There are maximum numbers for each session which are appropriate to each experience.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the date arranged. The deposit or voucher will be non-refundable where clients fail to give adequate notice of cancellation. If customers don’t arrive for their scheduled session without giving the cancellation notice, the voucher will become unredeemable.
WEATHER
In the event of unworkable weather conditions (eg: too windy, too wet, too hot) we will endeavour to give clients as much notice as possible of cancellation. In the event of cancellation by us due to poor weather conditions alternative dates shall be offered.
ACCOMPANYING ADULTS
Potters World specialises in giving personal tuition and presentations to clients and any events booked are for the named person on the booking only, families aren’t allowed to attend to watch and must book a ticket to take part, unless they are the accompanying adult for a child. (See next)
AGE Limits and SPECTATORS
We have a minimum age limit of 12years for our events (except the owl Encounters) and all under 18’s must have one accompanying adult. The adult required for supervision and safety of children booked on a session can attend Free of charge but won’t be engaging in the hands on aspects of the session. If another adult or child wishes to attend as a spectator only (only able to take photos etc) there is an additional charge of £10 per person.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Potters World endeavours to ensure the utmost safety of everyone and to cater for clients with all levels of physical ability. Potters World requests that clients also take a responsible and safety conscious approach by:-
• Ensuring clothing and footwear is suitable for an outdoor activity.
• Listen carefully to safety instructions given by the instructing falconer.
• Inform the instructing falconer of any worries or concerns regarding the experience.
• Should clients have any concerns regarding physical ability or health please contact us and discuss these issues prior to attending the session.
• Always wash hands following a bird handling session.
CONDITIONS
Please be aware that whilst we endeavour to ensure that birds are in top condition for sessions we cannot guarantee the quality of flights. Potters World reserves the right to terminate a session for an individual or group at anytime at their discretion.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We hope clients mark their special day by taking lots of photographs. These photographs should be used for personal use only and no photographs of the birds are to be used commercially without our prior consent.

At present our items advertised in our online shop are currently only available for local delivery within the North East. There is also a minimum spend requirement of £30 per delivery.
Once your order has been placed we will contact you to arrange delivery via our own delivery service. We aim to pick, pack and despatch your order as soon as possible once we receive it. On acceptance by us of your Order Form we will advise you by e-mail confirmation of the intended delivery date.
We will process Order Forms received on weekends or Public Holidays the next working day. When placing your order you shall be required to provide us with your personal details, including accurate postcode, together with those of the intended recipient and all necessary payment details. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards. By clicking on the ‘complete order’ button on the Order Form, you are consenting to be bound by our terms and conditions contained in these Terms and Conditions.
When placing your order you are able to specify further delivery information using the ‘Delivery Notes’ field provided. This is intended to provide further guidance to the party delivering your order which isn’t included within your address information, for example to specify floor number access information. We reserve the right to not action any delivery requests specified in this field which we deem unacceptable and will use other elements of address information provided elsewhere on the order form to fulfill your order.
All Products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute a Product of equivalent value and quality without notice where appropriate, however if your items is a specific design we would contact you to inform you of any issues. In the event that we are unable to supply the Product or any substitute product to you at all, we shall notify you as soon as is reasonably possible and shall reimburse your payment in full and in any event no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date.
